2024 Alumni Leadership Conference
The Alumni Leadership Conference is scheduled to take place June 20 - 23, 2024 in Washington DC. The conference is held to support the development of chapter leaders, foster relationships among alumni, encourage volunteerism, and support alumni interests in learning about the National Alumni Association, Office of Alumni Relations, and other departments on the XU campus. The Leadership Conference will highlight best practices of Chapter Management, offer steps to assuming alumni leadership roles, provide information on volunteer initiatives and programs for alumni, and serve as a platform for alumni to engage in conversation about mission, faith, and the future of Xavier University of Louisiana.

We are so excited about hosting you in beautiful, laidback Belize! This is our 2nd Annual Xavier-hosted Girls Trip and it is sure to be even better than before. Our host resort is the Alaia Belize, part of the Marriott Autograph Collection (so be sure to sign up for their rewards program to earn points for your stay). Give. Love. Xavier Day 2024
Give. Love. Xavier Day is a one-day, online fundraising event dedicated to the annual fund happening on April 9. This initiative helps to continue educating deserving students. During the event alumni and friends are encouraged to come together for one day to show their support for the University. Participants post about the event via social networks (such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) to spread excitement and encourage their friends and followers to give. Please show your support today by making an early gift!

2024 Rudy Lombard Symposium
On February 19, the university is hosting The Rudy Lombard Symposium on Civil Rights lecture at 6 p.m. in the College of Pharmacy Auditorium. The late Dr. Rudy Lombard ('61) is a renowned civil rights icon, and the symposium is held in his honor. In 1960, Lombard was contacted by civil rights strategist Marvin Robinson who advised him that a Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) member, James T. McCain, intended to establish a branch in New Orleans. By September of the same year, the then Vice-President Lombard had planned two sit-ins in protest of the rigid color lines demarcated by Jim Crow laws across the segregated South. But it was the second protest, held at McCrory’s five-and-dime store, that earned both Lombard and the New Orleans CORE branch national recognition.

On Sunday, March 13th Xavier University's Campus Ministries held a Feast Day Mass to our our foundress, St. Katharine Drexel, patron saint of philanthropy and racial justice. Katharine Drexel was canonized on Oct. 1, 2000 due to her work that continues to change the lives of many close to 100 years later.

Xavier Alumna, Crystal Moore '07 named one of this year's President Leadership Scholars

In January 2022, Xavier alumna Crystal Moore '07 was named as one of sixty scholars among the 7th class of Presidential Leadership Scholars (PLS). PLS serves as a diverse network of leaders to create purposeful change within the United States as they learn about leadership through the lens of presidential experiences.

 These scholars were chosen based on their leadership growth potential and the the personal leadership growth exhibited among their communities, professions, and/or organizations. 

 The Presidential Leadership Scholars Program was founded in 2015 and is partnered with the presidential centers of George W. Bush, William J. Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson.
